Jana came to fame in Macedonia in 2011, when she appeared on the first and only season of Macedonian Idol. She placed 5th, ending up as the highest placing female singer.

Fun fact, one of the judges in that show was none other than the Macedonian legend and Eurovision diva Kaliopi! Inspired by one of Jana’s performances Kaliopi decided to award the younger singer with a pair of earrings that Kaliopi herself was wearing that night.

Known to be a great altruist, Jana has taken part in 66 events supporting socially disadvantaged groups since 2011. That year she took on the role of UNICEF ambassador where she promoted schools free of violence. Later on she stood up for inter ethnical tolerance and coexistence by participating in the USAID’s project named One. She has sung for multiple charity concerts organized by the Macedonian Red Cross through the PHV (Promoting Human Values) program. Among her philanthropic activities are also people with autism, ADHD, spinal atrophy, dyslexia, cerebral paralysis, scoliosis…

Another memorable accomplishment in Jana’s career in 2011 was receiving the Golden Ladybug Award for Newcomer of the Year, an award that is considered the most valuable in Macedonia.

In 2014 Jana performed with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra during the Days of Macedonian Music, singing a classical arrangement of a traditional Macedonian song “Po drum odam majce” by well known classical and contemporary composer Damjan Temkov.

Jana debuted in Skopje Fest, back in 2012 with the song "Bi bila tvoja" and immediately caught the attention of the public with her refined and sensitive stage performance and vocals.

She continued taking part in the contest in 2013 and 2015, but the years she participated in one of the country's biggest musical events, however, were not electing the Eurovision entry.

She has collaborated with various established artists in her home country including her Idol colleague Miki Sekulovski and the popular band Mizar.

The point in her career where she believes she grew the most as a musician is when she started to actively perform live gigs with the band OffBeatz. OffBeatz started off in 2015 and since then the band has done live shows in various bars in Macedonia’s capital. The band is known to play funk, disco, soul, neo soul hits and sometimes even rap, which is another fun fact about Jana.

Other than singing, Jana has shown talent in both writing and public speaking. She has won first award in 2014 during a training conducted by the Oratory Club within the St. Cyril and Methodius University.

"I am grateful and really appreciate the opportunity I’ve been given, but I am also aware of the responsibilities I must bear. My heart skipped a beat when I was told the good news and I have kept on smiling ever since" - said Jana when MRT has chosen her for Kiev.
